Heavywood Studio has been in existence since 1990. The 3,000 sq ft building, (formerly used to build sailboats) is home to one of the best Steinway Concert Grand Pianos in any studio or concert hall.

Lori Henriques, Nancy King, David Frishberg, Rebecca Kilgore, Mike Wofford, Bill Mays, Leroy Vinnegar, Mel Brown, Dan Faehnle, Benjamin Kim, Bobby Torrez, Alfredo Muro, and John Butler as well as numerous classical string and wind players.
It is also the location for the intensive jazz improvisation workshop, involving many fine professional musicians and serious students from around the northwest.
