Heavywood Studio

 

Heavywood Studio has been in existence since 1990. The 3,000 sq ft building, (formerly used to build sailboats) is home to one of the best Steinway Concert Grand Pianos in any studio or concert hall.

Artists who have recorded at Heavywood Studios include:

Mike Wofford, Bill Mays, Leroy Vinegar, Nancy King, Al Foster, Mel Brown, Dan Faenle, Benjamin Kim, David Frishberg, Bobby Torrez, Alfredo Muro and Rebecca Kilgore as well as numerous classical string and wind players.

It is also the location for the intensive jazz improvisation workshop, involving many fine professional musicians and serious students from around the northwest.
